You probably never would have guessed it with new music getting announced last week, but we are [also] announcing literally the most tour dates of all time. Or at least the most of Bahamas history.
There are two types of shows The Bootcut Tour, and Bahamas In The Afternoon: A Family Affair. The Bootcut Tour is a standard issue show including but not limited to one performance of Lost In The Light; Bahamas In The Afternoon: A Family Affair is a second, much earlier show (~3pm ish depending on the market), with a slightly shorter more intimate set designed for your share with your elders (65+) and youths (12-) at no additional cost. There is no support on the matinee show, so just show up right when your ticket says and we will get everyone in and out as soon as possible for respective naps, soccer games, swim team, Bingo, etc.
Both go on sale this Friday but you can get early access below. As with any tour announce, there are a number of common questions. We have enlisted upper management to address common and early questions. Tickets Here.
Q&Eh
Gord from Antigonish writes: “I read your posts every morning on my Kindle, is there any way for me to get tickets to these shows early so I can go fishing Friday morning?”
Upper Management: “Lower Management, please respond.”
Lower Management: “Yes, there is a presale that runs Wednesday, July 19th @ 10am local - Friday, July 21st @ 9am local PASSWORD: BAHAMASBOOTCUT"
Bruce from Truro writes: “I am planning to take my family to your Chicago show. I have one child that is 12 and another child that is 11. How many tickets would I need to buy for Bahamas In The Afternoon: A Family Affair? What if we go to the later show?"
Upper Management: “Lower Management, please respond.”
Lower Management: “You would need to purchase one for yourself, one for your 12 year old, and your 11 year old would get in free. Truth be told you could probably just have your 12 year old say they were also 11 and save a ticket. Honest people buy 2 tickets in this instance though. If you go to The Bootcut Tour, everyone would have to have a ticket. Sometimes kids are a blessing, and sometimes they are a curse.”
Gorde from Lunenburg Writes: “I am 64 years old and would like to attend Bahamas In The Afternoon. Will you accept a fake ID that I also use at Denny’s to eat at the senior citizens menu so I can attend for free with my grandchildren?”
Upper Management: “Lower Management, please respond.”
Lower Management: “It depends how real that fake ID looks. The most important thing to us for these matinee shows is that you get to have a great show with your family and loved ones and truth be told the money isn’t important for these. On the other hand, the evening shows we would like to gouge you for as much money as possible.
Kevin from Deseronto writes: “I went to your Toronto matinee a long time ago at the Danforth and it was a really long time between when we entered the building and when music started. It seemed like some of the children got restless. Is that going to happen again?”
Upper Management: “Lower Management, please respond.”
Lower Management: “No, there is no support for the matinee shows, we will do a slightly shorter set, slightly lower volume for sensitive ears, and it will start promptly after we get everyone in the building. Please pay attention to local times.
Gordie, a retired hockey player, writes: “I have hockey practice with a bunch of my old teammates on Sunday nights. I want to attend your Denver matinee but I don’t want to miss my game. About how long will you play?”
Upper Management: “Lower Management, please respond.”
Lower Management: “It will probably take about 30 minutes to get everyone into the venue, and then the matinee show is about an hour long.”
Gord, a bassist, writes: “Are you going to play a lot of new songs that people won’t recognize, thereby making the show less familiar and ultimately less enjoyable. Also, if you don’t play Lost In The Light enough times can I have my money back in advance?”
Upper Management: “You can’t have your money back. Lower Management, please respond.”
Lower Management: “There is a big catalogue of music now and the program will be spread out across a data sourced list of material that is faxed to each venue in advance of the program. If you would like to be familiar with the new songs, you can listen to them here or also preorder the album here. I have included an image below to a bundle of incredible products for purchase below by clicking the image.”
Will this tour be a solo tour or will you be backed by a band? Thanks and can't wait to see you
